Disclosures

What this is, and what it is not.

Last updated 28 August 2026.

We are not open

Symmetras is in development. No service is being offered or sold on this site, no accounts can be opened, and no advisory relationship is created by anything here or by joining the waiting list.

Descriptions of what Symmetras will do are statements of what we are building. They are not commitments, and features, terms, and pricing can change before we open. The founding terms below are the exception.

The two-minute Money Checkup

The checkup is an interactive analysis tool. It works only from the ranges you select, using the midpoint of each one, and it stores nothing: your answers stay in your browser and are not sent to us or attached to your waiting-list record.

The figure it reports is the sum of three things and nothing else — employer match you told us you are not claiming, the difference between what you pay for asset-based advice and the $180 a year Symmetras will cost, and interest avoided in the following twelve months by putting that difference against a high-rate balance. It contains no investment return, and it is not a projection of your results.

Where you answer that you are not sure, it substitutes a stated industry figure rather than a figure about you: 0.96% a year for asset-based advisory fees, per Envestnet, and 22.15% on balances being charged interest, which is the average for accounts assessed interest in May 2026 in the Federal Reserve’s G.19 consumer credit release of 7 August 2026.

Results vary with each use and over time. The checkup does not consider, screen, compare, or recommend any investment, security, fund, or portfolio, and no universe of investments is examined in producing a result. The outcome is hypothetical and illustrative, is not advice or a recommendation, and creates no advisory relationship.

The instruments on the waiting list

Confirming your email address opens three interactive analysis tools before we are open: the Safety Cushion Planner, the 401(k) Match Finder, and the Money Basics lessons. They are free, they are not conditional on referrals or on any payment, and each one runs entirely in your browser from the figures you type into it. Nothing you enter is sent to us, stored, or attached to your waiting-list record.

The Safety Cushion Planner divides a target by an amount you say you can set aside each month to produce a date, and it applies no rate of return, no interest, and no growth of any kind to money set aside. The target is a number of months of your own stated essential spending: three months where two people in the household earn, four where one does, and six where income varies or you work for yourself. Those month counts are a convention we chose, not a finding about you. For context on why the range exists, median unemployment in July 2026 lasted 10.5 weeks while the mean was 24.9 weeks, per Table A-12 of the Bureau of Labor Statistics employment situation release.

The 401(k) Match Finder compares what you tell us you contribute against a match formula you enter, and reports the employer money that formula would add and the part of it your current contribution does not reach. It applies no investment return and produces no future value, so it is not a projection of a retirement balance. Contribution limits used are the 2026 figures — $24,500 in elective deferrals and $8,000 in catch-up contributions for those 50 and over — per the IRS and Notice 2025-67. Your own plan governs its match, its vesting schedule, and its eligibility rules, and those override anything shown here.

Money Basics is written explanation. It is educational, it is not tailored to you, and it names no security, fund, product, or provider.

None of the three considers, screens, compares, or recommends any investment, security, fund, or portfolio, and no universe of investments is examined in producing a result. Results vary with each use and over time, and any figure or date produced is hypothetical and illustrative rather than an outcome to expect. Tax, employer-plan, and household circumstances not asked about will change the answer. None of it is advice or a recommendation, and using it creates no advisory relationship.

Founding terms

For the first 1,000 positions on the waiting list when we open: the first three months are free, and the price is $15 a month for as long as the membership stays active. If we change the price for anybody else, that does not change yours.

Founding places are held by the first 1,000 positions on the list at the time we open, and positions move as other people join and refer. Any count of claimed memberships shown on the site is the live number, not an estimate. If we never open, nobody is charged anything.

What we compare our price to

We say that a year of Symmetras costs less than one hour with a financial planner, and that our price is 10x cheaper than this work is sold for elsewhere. Those are comparisons of price only. We make no claim that our tools, our agents, or our advice match the capability of any other adviser, and nothing on this site should be read that way.

The figures we compare against are published industry averages, not quotes from any named firm, and an individual firm may charge more or less. A year of Symmetras is $180 at $15 a month.

The average asset-based advisory fee of 0.96% is from the 2026 State of Financial Planning Fees study by Datos Insights and Envestnet MoneyGuide, as reported by Envestnet.

The $2,250 median flat fee for a comprehensive financial plan is from the Financial Planning Association Planning Fees study, as reported by Kitces.

The $291 monthly subscription figure, and the $250 to $400 hourly range for a lead certified financial planner that the one-hour comparison rests on, are from the 2026 cost guide published by Couplr, consistent with the $150 to $500 range reported by Clear Money Guide.

An asset-based fee typically pays for investment management alongside the planning. That is a real difference between what those fees buy and what ours does, and it should be weighed alongside the numbers.

Nothing here is advice

Nothing on this site is investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell anything. Nothing here is tailored to your circumstances, because we do not know them.

No past performance is shown anywhere on this site, and no return, saving, outcome, or timing is promised. Investing involves risk, including the risk of losing money.

The waiting list

Joining the list is not an application and does not reserve a product, a price, or a date. We ask for a first name and an email address. We do not ask for financial information, and you should not send us any.

Positions are ordered by when you joined, adjusted for the number of people who joined on your link. Your position can change as other people move up, so it can go down as well as up. Founding member status is held by the first 1,000 positions on the list at the time we open, and what it includes will be described before then.

We may change how the list works, close it, or decline to offer service to anyone on it. If we never open, being on the list gives you nothing.

The referral arrangement

If you share your link and somebody joins on it, you move up the list. That is compensation, and it is worth being precise about it.

People on the waiting list are not clients of ours. Nobody is, because we are not open. Anybody who shares a link is therefore recommending a firm they are not a client of.

No cash is paid for a referral, and no fee, commission, revenue share, or discount is paid either. The only compensation is a better position on the waiting list, and founding member status for those who end up inside the first 1,000. The list moves 50 places for each of the first two people who join on your link and confirm their email address, 250 places in total once three have, and 50 places for each one after that. Five gives Priority Access, meaning inclusion in the first group we open regardless of position. Nothing counts until the person who joined confirms their own address.

That arrangement gives anybody sharing a link a reason to speak well of us, whatever they actually think. Their recommendation is not impartial, and it should not be read as evidence about the quality of anything we will offer. This is disclosed to every person who arrives on a referral link, at the point they arrive.

We do not pay for reviews, testimonials, or endorsements of any kind, and no compensated statement about Symmetras by any person appears on this site.

Your information

We use your name and email address to tell you where you are on the list and to contact you when it is your turn. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anybody else's advertising.

Nobody on the list can see anybody else's name or email address. If you refer somebody, you are told the number of people who joined on your link and nothing that identifies them.

You can ask us to remove you and delete your details at any time by writing to hello@symmetras.ai.

Contact

Questions about anything on this page go to hello@symmetras.ai. When we open, the identity of the firm providing advisory services, its regulatory registrations, its fees, and its Form ADV will be presented before anybody can become a client.
